Do you guarantee exact visit times?2024-07-16T14:39:37-04:00

We’d love to honor everyone’s specific time requests, but due to the nature of our business, it’s not possible.  There are too many variables to guarantee specific times, so we operate in time blocks instead.  Here they are:

Morning 7am-830am
Mid Morn 830am-945am
Late Morn 945-11am
Midday 11am-1pm
Afternoon 1pm-3pm
Late After 3pm-5pm
Early After 5pm-7pm
Mid Eve 7pm-8:30pm
Late Eve 8:30pm-10pm
Anytime 7am-7pm *Specifically for Cats or exotic pets

Visit times are approximate and subject to change based on the needs of all pets under the Pet Sitters care. Pet Sitter is entrusted to use best judgment in caring for pet(s) and home, in the event of an emergency, inclement weather, or natural disaster, CADC and Pet Sitters will be held harmless for consequences related to such decisions.

How much notice do you need to schedule visits?2024-02-20T11:05:47-05:00

If you’re a new customer, please try to give at least a few days notice to set up the Meet and Greet at your home.

Once you become a client, we request at least 24 hours notice to request visits, so that we have enough time to arrange services with your pet sitter. If we are able to accommodate, same day or last minute requests will result in a last minute booking fee.

You can call, text, or email us directly to book visits or you can schedule them yourself through our Pet Sitting Software. If you have a consistent schedule, we can auto-schedule your visits.

Do we meet our dog walkers/pet sitters prior to first visit?2024-02-20T11:05:58-05:00

Yes! In fact, we insist on you meeting your pet sitter. We require a complimentary Meet & Greet to our new clients and animals. The goal of this meeting is for you to explain all your home and pet routines and also to make sure both parties are the right fit for each other. This also gives you a chance to ask us any questions in regards to our care & policies we have in place.

Do We Get the Same Sitter Every Time?
Our goal is that you have the same sitter each time. Even though we have a large staff, we assign you one primary sitter so that you and your pets can establish and maintain a personal relationship with your pet sitter. If your primary pet sitter is booked up, sick, or has a day off, we will provide a back-up sitter to care for your pets. We also want you to meet any back-up sitters for your peace of mind. Therefore, we will never cancel a confirmed pet sitting assignment last minute and leave you in a bind.

Do Your Pet Sitters Get Background Checked?2024-07-16T14:06:56-04:00

Absolutely.  We understand how uncomfortable it can be to allow a complete stranger access to your home and to care for your fur babies.

We run a full local, state, and federal criminal background check.  All of our pet sitters who work with us have passed a background check and are fully insured and bonded.

Our interview process includes several steps:

  • Interview with our management/owner.
  • Shadowing our experienced pet sitters and going over proper pet care procedures.
  • Mandatory orientation class with a professional dog trainer to go over various situations that may arise
  • All pet sitters authorize a personal/work reference check.
  • Sign a thorough Independent Contractor’s agreement that outlines our company rules and expectations.

What does is mean to be “licensed, bonded, and insured”?2024-07-16T14:06:05-04:00

It’s a fair question and is very important to be have all three.

Licensed:  To be legally licensed in the city you are conducting business or the city of your business address.

Insured:  Covers your pets and personal property under the sitter’s care, custody, or control.  This extends to pets in transit via pet taxis or other transport means, and also covers any damage to your property.  Veterinary medical expenses are also a part of Care, Custody & Control Coverage.  The insurance policy pays for claims, regardless of the negligence/fault for accidents or injuries to pets.

Bonded:  This is actually called a “Dishonesty Bond”.  These bonds cover the company against loss caused due to employee or contractor dishonesty.  When a company is bonded, it protects the company & their customers from damage or acts of theft in your home on the part of your service provider’s employees or contractors.

Minimum Visit Requirements2024-04-03T17:50:42-04:00

For vacations or overnight trips:

  • Cats must have minimum of one visit every other day.  Veterinarians recommended at least one every 24 hours.  Most of our clients choose one visit/per day, sometimes one for breakfast & one for dinner.
  • Dogs must have a minimum of three visits in a 24 hour period, excluding client departure and arrival dates.  Visits occurring at least three times per day are veterinary recommended.  Some clients choose four visits/per day, which is even better.

We aren’t requiring this to make a few extra dollars, it is in the best interest of your animals.  When owners are gone for long periods of time, dogs remain idle, with no extra stimulation or exercise.  Asking a dog to hold bathroom breaks for 12-14 hours at a time is a lot to ask.  Plus, the Midday visit releases any extra anxiety & energy that builds up throughout the day.

Having safe access to your home is a very common question.  There are several options we offer:

  • Electronic Door Locks:  Please provide us a code for entry.  For many locks, you can create custom code for Calling All Dogs & Cats, so you know exactly when we enter & exit your home
  • Lockboxes:  We can provide a lockbox for $30 refundable deposit.  Once the lockbox is returned, you will receive the deposit back.  You can also provide one on your own.
Customer Referral Program2024-02-20T11:11:12-05:00

Referring clients will receive a $20 credit on your account when the referred party purchases $100 in services.  There is no limit to how many credits you can get so spread the word.

Word of mouth is the best compliment to our Dog Walking and Pet Sitting service. Our team of sitters work very hard to take care of your pets. There is a chance the same pet sitter that takes care of you might also take care of the person you refer to us.

Please Contact Us if you have any further questions about our Referral Program

What is your Medication Policy?2024-02-20T11:11:25-05:00

What do you do in case of a hurricane or other disaster?2024-06-03T16:03:46-04:00

In the event of an evacuation due to a hurricane or other disaster, natural or man-made, Calling All Dogs & Cats cannot take pets to their home or make your home disaster ready.   In your Pet Sitting profile, you are required to list the people that you have designated to carry out emergency plans.

This person (people) should have access to your home (keys, security codes, etc.).  They are also willing and able to safely remove your pet(s) from the home and take them to a safe location.  We will do our best to coordinate and help in any situation.

We also recommend contacting your counties’ local shelters to find our which ones accept pets
