We understand you are hesitant to leave your beloved fur babies in the care of someone else, which is a natural feeling for a loving pet owner! We want you to feel 100% comfortable with allowing us to provide quality care to your pets.
Here are some answers to frequently asked questions:
Are there specific Pick up/drop off times?
Between 8am-8pm, unless the sitter approves a time outside that range.Do I get to meet the pet sitter first?
Absolutely. In fact, it is our requirement. We will set up an appropriate day & time where you can bring your dog over to the sitters’ home. That way, you can see where they will be staying and, if there are any other dogs, we can make sure they will get along. Safety is our most important concern. What do I need to bring for the Doggy Slumber Party?
Please bring food/water bowls, food, treats, medicine, toys, bedding, crate, and anything else to make your fur baby feel at home.Do you provide a taxi service if I can’t drop off/pick up my dog?
Yes. We offer a pet taxi for an additional charge, based on the time it takes. Please have their “sleepover bag” ready before we arrive. What is the cost for 1,2, 3+ dogs?
$60/night for 1 dog and $20/night for your 2nd dog. Puppies are $70/night (under 6 months). The costs are based on a 24-hour time frame.
If you exceed 28 hours, without going in the next day, you will be charged a Doggy Daycare Fee of $30. Please call us if you have 3 dogs as we would need to make special accommodations.Do you have a weight limit or breed restriction?
We welcome all sizes and breeds, but it really depends on our sitters’ preference and if the particular sitter lives in a breed or weight restricted community.Does the pet sitter have personal animals of their own?
Some of our pet sitters do have pets of their own and some do not. We do require a meet and greet so you can meet your pet sitter and their animals beforehand. Please let us know your specific needs and we will find the perfect pet sitter for you.Do you accept dogs that don’t get along with other dogs or cats?
Yes, we have pet sitters who do not have personal pets of their own, so they would be the best fit or a dog who wants all the cuddles to themselves.Does the sitter have a fenced in backyard or live in an apartment?
We have sitters who live in houses, condos, and apartments. Let us know your specific needs and we will do our best accommodate. The most important part is human attention and exercise on walks. How many times do you walk my dog?
3 times a day, minimum . Let us know your routine and we will follow it as best as possible. Is the pet sitter going to be home all day while watching my dog?
Staying home ALL day is an unrealistic expectation, but your pups will get tons of attention. Besides other daily visits or errands, most our sitters work from home or have part time jobs. How far in advanced do I need to schedule?
We recommend as much notice as possible as we do have limited availability, ESPECIALLY on holiday weekends. The closer it gets to your requested dates, the harder it is for us to accommodate Sleepover requests. Are my dog(s) ever crated?
It depends on what their normal routine is and we would prefer to have them roam free. But, if they are having accidents or if your dog is being destructive, they will be crated when the sitter isn’t home. How many other dogs are there?
It varies, but most sitters prefer having no more than 3 dogs at a time.Do you require a deposit?
A 50% deposit is required to reserve the requested dates. What happens if, in the middle of a Doggy Sleepover, the pet sitter can’t watch my dog anymore?
Maybe because of an emergency or if my dog is being too much trouble. This is a very rare occurrence, but it has happened before. Part of the benefit with choosing Calling All Dogs & Cats is that we guarantee the care for your pet, as long as our sitters aren’t at risk of injury due to any aggressive behavior. We first see if any other sitter is available for Sleepovers. If not, we will bring your dog back home & provide in-home visits or Overnights in your home. Of course, you will be kept in the loop the entire time. What do you do if there is a hurricane and my dog is staying over?
You must have an emergency back up plan/person who can take your dog. In the event of an evacuation due to a hurricane or other disaster, natural or man-made, Calling All Dogs cannot take pets to their home or make your home disaster ready, as our sitters have to ensure their own family’s safety. In your profile, in our pet sitting software, you are required to list the people that you have designated to carry out emergency plans in your absence. This person should have access to your home (keys, security codes, etc.) and is willing and able to handle the tasks necessary to safely remove your pet(s) from the home in the event of a disaster and take them to a safe location. We will do our best to coordinate & help in any situation. What is the cancellation policy?

Contact Us Today and we will return your call within 24 hours to schedule your complementary Meet & Greet.
It really is that simple!
If you’re a new customer, please try to give at least a few days notice to set up the Meet and Greet at your home.
Once you become a client, we request at least 24 hours notice to request visits, so that we have enough time to arrange services with your pet sitter. If we are able to accommodate, same day or last minute requests will result in a last minute booking fee.
You can call, text, or email us directly to book visits or you can schedule them yourself through our Pet Sitting Software. If you have a consistent schedule, we can auto-schedule your visits.
Having safe access to your home is a very common question. There are several options we offer:
- Electronic Door Locks: Please provide us a code for entry. For many locks, you can create custom code for Calling All Dogs & Cats, so you know exactly when we enter & exit your home
- Lockboxes: We can provide a lockbox for $30 refundable deposit. Once the lockbox is returned, you will receive the deposit back. You can also provide one on your own.
Referring clients will receive a $20 credit on your account when the referred party purchases $100 in services. There is no limit to how many credits you can get so spread the word.
Word of mouth is the best compliment to our Dog Walking and Pet Sitting service. Our team of sitters work very hard to take care of your pets. There is a chance the same pet sitter that takes care of you might also take care of the person you refer to us.

100% of all tips left our dog walkers & pet sitters goes directly to them. Our sitters care for your pets with a great deal of love and frequently go “above and beyond” the call of duty. If you were provided with great service it is appropriate to tip your pet sitter 10-20% of the total bill if you wish to do so.
You can even set up an “auto tip” based on percentage or flat fee in our software system. If not, please just contact the office and we can handle everything for you.

Yes! In fact, we insist on you meeting your pet sitter. We require a complimentary Meet & Greet to our new clients and animals. The goal of this meeting is for you to explain all your home and pet routines and also to make sure both parties are the right fit for each other. This also gives you a chance to ask us any questions in regards to our care & policies we have in place.
Do We Get the Same Sitter Every Time?
Our goal is that you have the same sitter each time. Even though we have a large staff, we assign you one primary sitter so that you and your pets can establish and maintain a personal relationship with your pet sitter. If your primary pet sitter is booked up, sick, or has a day off, we will provide a back-up sitter to care for your pets. We also want you to meet any back-up sitters for your peace of mind. Therefore, we will never cancel a confirmed pet sitting assignment last minute and leave you in a bind.
Do Your Pet Sitters Get Their Background Checked?
Absolutely. All of our pet sitters have passed a background check and are fully insured and bonded. Our interview process includes several steps to gather detailed information about the pet sitter and an interview with our owner. All pet sitters authorize a personal/work reference check and a criminal background check. In addition, all pet sitters sign a thorough Independent Contractor’s agreement that outlines our company rules and expectations.
After these steps are completed, we have a training program. This includes: shadowing our experienced pet sitters and going over proper pet care procedures. We also work closely with several local animal trainers to go over proper procedures in regards to walking and other situations that may arise during a visit.
AHoliday surcharge of $6 will be added for each daily visit, $10 for Sleepovers; and a $20.00 for Overnight visits made on the following holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
$6 Last Minute Booking fee for visits requested with less than 4 hours notice
An extra $5 will be added to each visit where there are three or more dogs present.
For vacations or overnight trips:
- Dogs must have a minimum of three visits in a 24 hour period, excluding client departure and arrival dates. Visits occurring at least three times per day are veterinary recommended. Some clients choose four visits/per day, which is even better.
- Cats must have minimum of one visit every other day. Visits once every 24 hours are veterinarian recommended. Most of our clients choose one visit/per day.
We aren’t requiring this to make a few extra dollars, it is in the best interest of your animals. When owners are gone for long periods of time, dogs remain idle, with no extra stimulation or exercise. Asking a dog to hold bathroom breaks for 12-14 hours at a time is a lot to ask. Plus, the Midday visit releases any extra anxiety & energy that builds up throughout the day.
