Calling All Dogs & Cats provides professional dog walking and pet sitting 365 days a year. We are now serving all of Pinellas County, Downtown & South Tampa, and North Orlando. We’re looking for amazing people who share our love for pets to join our pack.
Our positions are great for animal lovers who need some additional income, freelancers who work from home, or empty nesters who want to get out and get some exercise. You won’t believe you found a fun and healthy part-time gig. After all, people who get to interact with animals every day, live longer and happier lives!
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Animal-handling experience — caring for your own pets, volunteering at shelters, or previous pet-care work.
- Comfort around animals — ability to handle dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels.
- Basic pet-care knowledge — feeding, fresh water, walks, cleanup, and recognizing when an animal may need attention.
- Communication skills — keeping our office updated and reporting unusual behavior or problems.
- Physical ability — walking dogs, standing/walking for extended periods, and safely controlling a leash.
- Upstanding citizen — Must pass full background check
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF DOG WALKER / PET SITTER
As a Dog Walker / Pet Sitter with Calling All Dogs & Cats, you are the heartbeat of our company. You take pride in your work and are always professional in all your interactions. At each scheduled visit, you greet your furry client and perform the prescribed care with attention to detail. Typical tasks include: Walking doggies, cuddling cats, feeding, refilling water bowls, and giving medication (as needed).
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Close Proximity — Live within our service area (your work radius will be a 10-12 minute drive from your home)
- Reliability and responsibility — arriving on time, following instructions, and handling keys/access safely.
- Transportation — Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. You must be comfortable using your car to travel to pet-care visits.
- Flexible availability — mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, or short-notice visits may be requested.
DOGGY SLEEPOVER / IN-HOME DOGGY BOARDING OPPORTUNITY
People who are willing to have dogs in their home for when our clients go on vacations or business trips. Stay durations vary from a few days to a few weeks.
- Prior to accepting the assignment, the client will bring the dog to your home. You get to choose which dogs you would like to have in your home.
- If you do own your own dog, they must be friendly with other dogs.
- Please DO NOT APPLY if you have more than one dog or small children

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Home Apprearance — Non-Smoking household, tidy, safe, and be able to pass our Home Inspection
- Flexible availability — If you are away from home for long periods of time, this may not be the best fit for you
